HIT® Solar Cells

Panasonic’s heterojunction solar cell technology uses ultra-thin silicon layers to reduce losses, giving around 18% more power from the same space than standard mono-PERC solar cells. These slim and high-efficiency panels are ideal for fitting the most solar power into small or irregular spaces.

The reduced losses continue even at higher temperatures, with an industry-leading temperature coefficient of only -0.258% /⁰C. This gives strong performance even in hot weather, when the output from other solar panels starts to fall off.

Water Drainage System

The unique water drainage system of this panel allows rain, snowmelt or sea spray to easily drain off the panel surface, reducing water stains or soiling of the panel surface.
