The FOX ESS CM2900 is the master battery and BMS module for the FOX ESS ECS2900 high-voltage solar battery system. It provides 2.88kWh of battery capacity while managing communication and operation of the complete battery stack, making it the starting point when building a compatible ECS2900 energy storage system.

Please note: the CM2900 is not designed to operate as a complete 2.88kWh battery system on its own. A working ECS2900 stack requires one CM2900 master battery plus at least one compatible CS2900 slave battery, providing a minimum system capacity of 5.76kWh.

The modular design allows additional CS2900 battery modules to be added as storage requirements increase. A complete ECS2900 stack can contain up to 7 battery modules, increasing total nominal storage capacity from 5.76kWh up to 20.16kWh. This makes it possible to size the battery system around the property rather than committing to the maximum capacity from the outset.

Built around LiFePO4 battery technology, the ECS2900 system provides a 90% depth of discharge, more than 6000 cycles and greater than 95% round-trip efficiency. Its stackable, high-voltage architecture is designed specifically for residential solar storage and compatible FOX ESS inverter installations.

Building an ECS2900 Battery System

The CM2900 is used as the master module within the battery stack. A minimum system combines one CM2900 with one CS2900 slave module for 5.76kWh of nominal storage. Additional CS2900 modules can then be added to increase capacity.
